# Precursor Intelligence for business owners

## What does it actually do for my business?

It keeps an eye on four things criminals use to get in or to trick your customers, and turns what it finds into one list, ranked most urgent first. Nothing is installed on your computers or network: we work from what is public about your business online, the software you tell us about and files you choose to upload.

1. **The software you rely on.** Tell us what you use, or let us work it out from your website. We match it against every known security flaw and show you only the ones that apply, most urgent first. Example (fictional company Acme): a flaw in the remote-access gateway staff use is being used by criminals, so it goes to the top of the list.
2. **What you have open to the internet.** When you run a scan, we map the websites, servers and services anyone online can reach, and show what changed since the last one. Example: a database port on 203.0.113.24 appeared since the last scan.
3. **Fake websites using your name.** We keep watching for new web addresses made to look like yours, note whether they can send email, and alert you. We also warn you before your own website certificates run out. Example: acme-payro11.com was registered and has a mail server set up.
4. **Staff logins in other companies' breaches.** With a scan, we check whether email addresses at your domain appear in known data breaches, so those people can change their passwords. We never show the passwords themselves.

## What happens after I sign up?

1. **Minute one: create your free account.** Use your work email and set up two-step sign-in with an authenticator app, which every account has. No card needed.
2. **Straight after: tell us about your business.** Give us your website and we suggest the software it runs in about 5 to 30 seconds. You check the list before anything is saved, or pick from a catalogue instead.
3. **From then on: we do the checking.** We start watching for you: new flaws, what criminals are using, and lookalike web addresses for each domain you have asked us to watch.
4. **Next time you log in: your ranked list is waiting.** Everything that affects you, scored 0 to 100, sorted most urgent first and marked Critical, High, Medium, Low or Info. Anything confirmed exploited is marked "Emergency patch". Anything new arrives by email as soon as we spot it.
5. **Whenever you need it: a report you can hand on.** Download a PDF summary for your board, insurer or IT provider: the top things to fix, recent alerts and your latest scan. It is a current snapshot, made when you ask for it.

## What does it cost?

The Free plan is £0 and needs no card. It covers the full threat research library, tracking the software you use and alerts about it. Paid plans run from £299 a month, include every feature and come with a monthly allowance of credits:

## Is my data safe with you?

- **Two-step sign-in for everyone.** Every account signs in with a code from an authenticator app as well as a password.
- **Nothing on your network.** No software to install on your computers.
- **Stored in London.** Your data is stored in the UK, in London.
- **Your data stays yours.** Each organisation's data is kept apart from every other organisation's in the database.
- **Keys locked away.** Keys you give us for other tools are encrypted before they are stored.

## Straight answers

What you get:

- A ranked list scored 0 to 100, with the most urgent item first.
- Continuous monitoring for new flaws in your software, with an email as soon as something affects you.
- A constant watch for new websites pretending to be you.
- A written fix plan you can hand to whoever does the work.

What it is not:

- Not a stopwatch. We tell you as soon as we know, but we do not promise a response time.
- Not a penetration test. Scans map what you have online; they never attack it.
- Not automatic scanning. You start an attack-surface scan when you want one.
- Not someone doing the fixes. We tell you what to do and how; your team or IT provider does it.

## Questions owners ask us

### Do I need to be technical to use it?
No. Your list is ranked by score, so you start at the top. When you want it explained, an AI action plan writes up what to do and in what order. If you have an IT person or provider, you can invite them to your account. There is no limit on the number of people.

### How quickly will I hear about a problem?
We monitor continuously for new flaws in your software. As soon as we spot one that affects you, it is emailed to you and shown in the app.

### Will you fix things for me?
No. We tell you what to fix, in what order and how, and can write it up as an action plan for whoever does the work, whether that is your own team or your IT provider.

### Do I need to install anything?
No. There is nothing to install on your computers or network. We work from public information about your business online, the software you tell us you use and any files you choose to upload.

### Where is my data kept?
Your data is stored in London, and it is kept apart from every other organisation's.
