If the record
has already been decrypted (which may be the case for TLS 1.3 where
we don't know type until decryption) we queue the pending record
to the rx_list. Next recvmsg() will pick it up from there.

Queuing the skb to rx_list after zero-copy decrypt is not possible,
since in that case we decrypted directly to the user space buffer,
and we don't have an skb to queue (darg.skb points to the ciphertext
skb for access to metadata like length).

Only data records are allowed zero-copy, and we break the processing
loop after each non-data record. So we should never zero-copy and
then find out that the record type has changed. The corner case
we missed is when the initial record comes from rx_list, and it's
zero length.","In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: fix handling of zero-length records on the rx_list Each recvmsg() call must process ...","2025-09-05T18:15:44.67","2026-10-07T18:17:13.443",9.8,"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H",{"CVSSMetricV31":15,"CVSSMetricV30":34,"CVSSMetricV2":35,"CVSSMetricV40":36},[16,30
"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","Secondary
"3.1","NETWORK","LOW","NONE","UNCHANGED","HIGH","CRITICAL",null,3.9,5.9
"nvd@nist.gov","Primary
[],[],[],0.0288,[37,37,37,37,37,37,37],"Critical",[41,46,49,54,58
"linux","linux_kernel","*","cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
"6.17","cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:6.17:rc1:*:*:*:*:*:*
"debian","debian_linux","11.0","cpe:2.3:o:debian:debian_linux:11.0:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
"siemens","simatic_cn_4100_firmware","cpe:2.3:o:siemens:simatic_cn_4100_firmware:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
"simatic_cn_4100","-","cpe:2.3:h:siemens:simatic_cn_4100:-:*:*:*:*:*:*:*",false,5,[65,70,73,76,79,82,88,92
"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2902c3ebcca52ca845c03182000e8d71d3a5196f","Kernel",[69],"Patch
"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/29c0ce3c8cdb6dc5d61139c937f34cb888a6f42e",[69
"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3439c15ae91a517cf3c650ea15a8987699416ad9",[69
"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/62708b9452f8eb77513115b17c4f8d1a22ebf843",[69
"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c09dd3773b5950e9cfb6c9b9a5f6e36d06c62677",[69
"https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2025/10/msg00008.html","Debian",[86,87],"Mailing List","Third Party Advisory
"https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/html/ssa-032379.html","Siemens",[87
"https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog?field_cve=CVE-2025-39682","CISA",[96],"US Government Resource",8,[99
"CWE-754","Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions","The product does not check or incorrectly checks for unusual or exceptional conditions that are not expected to occur frequently during day to day operation of the product.","The programmer may assume that certain events or conditions will never occur or do not need to be worried about, such as low memory conditions, lack of access to resources due to restrictive permissions, or misbehaving clients or components.
